Happy 4 month birthday to our very own Mr. Dimples! At 4 months, Taj weighs 14lbs (30th percentile) and is 25 inches long (71st percentile). In the last month, he accomplished so much in little time. Our handsome little boy is now rolling from tummy-to-back AND back-to-tummy (he did this at the doctor's office last week!). He has a very strong grip and excellent fine motor skills! He pulls his pacifier in and out of his mouth, can pull blankets up and over his face and back down, transfers objects from hand to hand, and even picks up our little lumbard pillows over his head. He mouths everything, and I mean EVERYTHING goes in his mouth! He is especially interactive now, and likes to take turns in "conversations." You can hear Taji babbling various vowels: the aaa's. ooo's, o's, eh's. He started off saying "ma" and "ama" and then put them together and said "ma-ma"!!! I got so teary-eyed!!! He will say "maaaamaaa" when he wants to eat, when I leave the room, or when he wants us to come get him out of his crib in the morning. We have also heard him babble to himself, it is the cutest thing! Taj is quite the character, he laughs at the most random things, and has a preference for certain toys.

This past month, we introduced him to his rainforest jumperoo (he is still trying to figure out how to bounce, but it is something new and exciting for him!)

He does great in daycare, loves to observe and socialize with the other babies. And for the first time, Taji stayed home one evening with our babysitter Sonya, while we went to celebrate Jamie's 30th birthday. Here he is with Sonya:

We feel pretty fortunate to have such great care-takers, Taj is easily adaptable and enjoys both Charlotte (daycare teacher) and Sonya (babysitter/ housekeeper).
For his 4th month celebration, we had a special guest in town... Uncle Hink! (Brad's best friend). He spent the week with us and then we got together with our other friends on Sep 18th for Taj's b-day! We took the duffy boat out, and had lunch at the new
CommonWealth restaurant on the bay! Auntie Sabrina (my dear friend from college) surprised Taji with a visit as well and brought him a gift! Taj enjoyed everyone's company and loved being held! Here are some pics from last saturday:

Yay Taji! I love how you're so aware of his babbling and saying mama! That is fantastic and music to my ears. He has such a loving family! :)
