our story

It all began on the evening of Nov 29th 2003, at former Chat Noir French Restaurant in Costa Mesa, CA. Brad approached me [Jana] and we instantly connected; it was love at first sight. The next 4 years that followed were a whirlwind of romance, growing pains, and adventures. We circled the globe, traveling to South America, Europe, and Asia. Then one night, Brad surprised me with a romantic beachside proposal. We made it official on August 23rd 2008 with an intimate wedding at a hip art gallery in Laguna Beach. A year later we finished redesigning our home in the beach village of Corona del Mar.

On May 18th, 2010, we were blessed with a sweet little miracle of our own, our baby boy Taj Leon. He stole our hearts and took our breath away! Then, 19 months later, his incredible little brother, Jax Franz, arrived on Christmas morning (December 25th) 2011. What an amazing gift we received! In an effort to slow down the clock and enjoy our beautiful family, in Spring of 2012, we sold our CA seaside home and moved across the country to our dream lake house in Brad's hometown of Bemus Point, a resort village on Chautauqua Lake in Western New York! Even though we are living a more slow paced life, we are living a life far from ordinary!

From the West Coast to the East Coast, our Grover family adventures continue! So won't you come along and join us on this journey of love, family, and travel we like to call our La Vida Grover!

the 3 musketeers

The 3 musketeers (Taj, Cade, and Ryan) reunited yesterday at the zoo! Let me refresh your memory by going back to last summer, when Taj, Cade, and Ryan met for the first time about 8 months ago (our first playdate with the boys....... from the left, there's me & Taj, Michelle & Cade, Rhonda & Ryan : fast forward to yesterday, and here we are with our big little boys!!! Of course Ryan was checking out the monkeys so you can't see his face :) And here they are again, our little men!!!
We met for lunch at the Rainforest Cafe, going with the whole "animal" theme! The boys enjoyed sitting next to each other. After lunch, we headed to the Santa Ana Zoo! We were reved up to see all the animals, but were quickly disappointed when we discovered there were very few :( The highlights were the little monkeys, porcupine, and the llamas & ostrich (pictured here). Other than those, sadly there was nothing else to see.
Here is Michelle practicing for her upcoming role of mother of 2 (yep, she is pregnant with her second baby due in October, and looking fabulous!!) In this photo she's actually "carrying" 4 babies! She's already a pro if I don't say so myself!
Taj liked socializing with Ryan by the tree....
and lounging on the grass with Cade.....
The rest of the time, he hung on to my legs and waved hi to everyone!

Adorable mommy and son pic of M&C
I love our playdates, and i hope that we continue to plan outings for the boys such as these!!! I will miss working with my girls, but then again we'll have more of a reason to get together!
I had to include this hilarious next photo from dinner last night, with a disclaimer: (I held the high chair so there was no way it could tip over and we do not allow Taj to stand like this.....) but can you believe our fuzzy wuzzy had the courage to stand up in his high chair, this is how exciting our dinner time is! Little rascal!
