Gearing up for Fall and Halloween, October was the month of pumpkin patches! Not one, or two, but THREE pumpkin patches in the last couple of weeks. The first one we visited with Aunt Sherry and cousins Sierra and Cayden, at the Environmental Nature Center in Newport Beach. We met here for their annual pumpkin fair, hiked the trails, and explored the different food and gift shop stands.

Daddy and Taj....

Mommy and baby Jax....

It really felt like Fall with all the beautiful colorful trees and leaves, Taji loved playing with them and of course collecting rocks!

Our 2nd pumpkin patch was no other than Tanaka Farms, in Irvine, where we took Taj for the first time last year. And last year when we visited our first pumpkin patch, Taj wore this same pumpkin beanie on his head (except it was folded over since it was big on him, he was only 5 months old.) As you can see, I couldn't resist pulling it out and having him wear it one last time!! It was a little snug but we pulled it off, and he looked so adorable wearing it while picking out pumpkins! You know baby Jax will have his turn this time next year :)

Taji found a pumpkin just the right size for him and held on tight, along with a rock!

And got to ride the wheelbarrow with all the pumpkins we picked. Like we always do, we picked out a pumpkin to represent each member of the family. 2 big ones, 1 small one (for Taj), 1 teeny one (for baby Jax) and even a teeny white one to represent our cat Kuki ;)

Our 3rd pumpkin patch was at the Laguna Woods Pumpkin Carnival by Laguna Hills Mall. Sherry and the kids have been coming here every year, and what made this pumpkin patch different was that there was a petting zoo, lots of farm animals to look at, kiddie rides to enjoy, and games to play! Taj loved riding the train but still continues to be afraid of the merry go round and pony rides.

He loved spending time with his Grandma Sue:

He also really loved the petting zoo, where he walked around and hugged each of the goats, miniature pigs, ducks, and chickens!

And even got a turn playing one of the carnival games (attempting to throw the ping pong ball into a pool of bowls.) His cousins Cayden and Sierra were pros playing the games and won him so many cute blow up toys and stuffed animals. His cousins love to spoil him!

The pumpkin patch mania this year definitely got us in the spirit for Halloween, we can't wait for our 2nd annual Halloween Costume Party with Taj's little buddies, and are looking forward to Taj's first time trick or treating........ stay tuned! It will surely be a fun next couple of days!
