Last year, my sister and I began an annual tradition we like to call the Sisters & Kiddies Weekend. Every year we grab our little munchkins and get away for the weekend. It's a bonding experience and precious quality time for us sisters and the cousins. Last year we stayed at the luxurious Bacara resort in Santa Barbara (when I photographed a wedding), and this year, spur of the moment, we decided to head down to La Jolla, play and eat, and then have a slumber party at my sister's! I'm so happy we were able to squeeze this in before baby Jax arrives!We took the kids to the Birch Aquarium in La Jolla (right by UC San Diego). I think Taji has been to every aquarium now in California! He loves the fishies!

The cousins had a blast playing in the backseat of the car, Chloe makes Taj laugh and giggle SO hard! Those two are such the peanut gallery! We practiced speaking "czech" with the kids, and they just couldn't stop hugging on each other. On our way home late in the evening, the kiddies fell asleep in the car and when we got home we slid them into their beds and had wonderful sister time..... chatting until 1am!
Then the next morning, I got pampered with a prenatal massage at the Spa Gregories in RSM. Ahhh, it was a very much needed massage, soooo nice to have the quiet R&R time, to reflect on this pregnancy, and rejuvenate for the weeks to come.
Thank you Peti for another fun weekend, I'm so excited to do this every year. Next year we will be outnumbered with 2 boys and 1 girl, and I bet we will end up at yet another incredible destination. We love you and Chloenkers so much!
