our story

It all began on the evening of Nov 29th 2003, at former Chat Noir French Restaurant in Costa Mesa, CA. Brad approached me [Jana] and we instantly connected; it was love at first sight. The next 4 years that followed were a whirlwind of romance, growing pains, and adventures. We circled the globe, traveling to South America, Europe, and Asia. Then one night, Brad surprised me with a romantic beachside proposal. We made it official on August 23rd 2008 with an intimate wedding at a hip art gallery in Laguna Beach. A year later we finished redesigning our home in the beach village of Corona del Mar.

On May 18th, 2010, we were blessed with a sweet little miracle of our own, our baby boy Taj Leon. He stole our hearts and took our breath away! Then, 19 months later, his incredible little brother, Jax Franz, arrived on Christmas morning (December 25th) 2011. What an amazing gift we received! In an effort to slow down the clock and enjoy our beautiful family, in Spring of 2012, we sold our CA seaside home and moved across the country to our dream lake house in Brad's hometown of Bemus Point, a resort village on Chautauqua Lake in Western New York! Even though we are living a more slow paced life, we are living a life far from ordinary!

From the West Coast to the East Coast, our Grover family adventures continue! So won't you come along and join us on this journey of love, family, and travel we like to call our La Vida Grover!

Jax turns 9 months old!

Happy 9 months to our baby Jax!

Here are NINE neat facts about our 9 month old:

1) Jax weighs 17 lbs and 12 ounces, and is 28 inches long.

2) He has 2 top front teeth now.... and another 2 on the top sprouting! (Making it a total 6 teeth)

3) He says "crack" (for cracker), "car", and "ka" (for cup) He is really into repeating all the words that start with a "c".

4) He needs a hair cut!  His long blond locks are already down to his eyes..... so he's going to be getting his first hair cut pretty soon!

5) He has already taken a little tumble down the stairs (he slid down only 2 stairs before I quickly saved him).  Jax follows Taj everywhere.... and he's not afraid of attempting the stairs....... but we are!

6) Jax is not shy.  In Music and Swim class, he's the loudest and happiest baby.  He participates and attempts everything.  When Taj was a baby (and to this day) he needs about 5-10 minutes to warm up in a group setting.  But Jax, nope, he gets right into the action and enjoys every second!

7) He does not like getting dressed, or getting his diaper changed for that matter.  Dressing him is like wrestling an alligator!

8) He's a pacifier thief.  He refuses to take a pacifier but is intrigued with Taj's, and constantly snatches it! Oh, and he is also a SOCK thief! Yup, you heard me....  clean or dirty, big or small, one in each hand and he's quick to crawl away with them!

9) He's discovered his tongue and LOVES to stick it out!  Meet the newest band member of KISS:
