our story

It all began on the evening of Nov 29th 2003, at former Chat Noir French Restaurant in Costa Mesa, CA. Brad approached me [Jana] and we instantly connected; it was love at first sight. The next 4 years that followed were a whirlwind of romance, growing pains, and adventures. We circled the globe, traveling to South America, Europe, and Asia. Then one night, Brad surprised me with a romantic beachside proposal. We made it official on August 23rd 2008 with an intimate wedding at a hip art gallery in Laguna Beach. A year later we finished redesigning our home in the beach village of Corona del Mar.

On May 18th, 2010, we were blessed with a sweet little miracle of our own, our baby boy Taj Leon. He stole our hearts and took our breath away! Then, 19 months later, his incredible little brother, Jax Franz, arrived on Christmas morning (December 25th) 2011. What an amazing gift we received! In an effort to slow down the clock and enjoy our beautiful family, in Spring of 2012, we sold our CA seaside home and moved across the country to our dream lake house in Brad's hometown of Bemus Point, a resort village on Chautauqua Lake in Western New York! Even though we are living a more slow paced life, we are living a life far from ordinary!

From the West Coast to the East Coast, our Grover family adventures continue! So won't you come along and join us on this journey of love, family, and travel we like to call our La Vida Grover!

MOVING DAY & our first weekend at the NEW HOUSE

Its here! Its here!  The day has FINALLY come!  The wait is finally OVER!  Friday, August 4th was the day...... the exact 2 month anniversary of us arriving in Bemus.  We had 2 moving trucks load ALL of our stuff from storage and unload it at our new house.....  it took half the time than when all of our stuff was loaded on to the big Allied Van lines truck in CA.   It was SO good to see our beloved furniture, our beloved boxes.... we missed them so much!  Nothing like the comfort of your own furniture, and especially BED!!!  We love our mattress and sheets so much, it far exceeds any hotel in the world!

The boys' first sunset dinner in our, what we like call the "sunset room" that's just off the kitchen.   This is going to be their meal time entertainment every night.... watching the boats, wake boarders, jet skis on the lake and watching the sun set :)

first sunset at our new house

first bath at the new house, in mommy and daddy's soaking tub.  For the boys, its their very own swimming pool.... they love all the space and all the fun water play and splashing they can do!

Taj sneaking in a kiss to his baby brother, awwww!:

It was amaze balls to sleep in our beds (the boys in their cribs and own bedrooms) after 2 months at the cottage.  Our master bedroom also has black out shades!  Too bad we couldn't take advantage of those since our boys woke up multiple times our first night.  Oh well, at least we were comfy in our bed and fresh washed sheets in between their wakings!

When the boys awoke the next morning, we brought them into our bed and had our family spooning and cuddle time in our family bed..... something we had missing these couple of months.  Now that both boys are bigger its nice to have a King-sized bed to all sleep in.  When our tummies began to rumble from being hungry, (and we had not stocked the fridge yet) we decided to have a special Hotel Lenhart breakfast.  We put the boys in the stroller and walked over to Hotel Lenhart (less than a 10 minute walk).... its so nice being this close to the village!

Our babysitter Lindsey works at the hotel's dining room over the summer and Taji picked her a flower, except she wasn't waiting on tables that morning :(

The breakfast was yummy, it was like 4 course breakfast for each of us.  Jax found the oranges very tasty....

After breakfast, we snapped a family picture of us on the porch of the hotel, well known for its colorful rocking chairs...... Look!  They even had 2 different little-sized yellow rocking chairs for the boys!

ahhhhh, watching sunsets from our new home will never get old!

Let the unpacking begin!!!
